Midnight at Newfields: Newfields 4000 Michigan Road
8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.The second annual New Year’s Eve party themed “Melt into the Moment” is back with a twisted take on an evening of glitz, glamour, live music, and high spirits. Dress in your most elegant evening wear with a dash of inspiration from Salvador Dalí’s wild and wonderful imagination to ring in the new year!
Family New Year’s Eve: Indiana State Museum
6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Ring in the New Year with a DJ and dance party, face painting, glitter tattoos, a photo op and fun activities across the whole museum at our Family New Year’s Eve party! End the night with a balloon drop and countdown celebration at 8:30 p.m. This is an alcohol-free event.
Noon Years Eve Party: Tuggle’s Gifts and Goods

11:30 a.m. Ring in the new year with crafts, sparkling cider, noise makers, hats, and fun! There will be a balloon drop at 12 p.m.
Countdown to Noon: The Children’s Museum
10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Ring in 2025 by counting down to noon or 1 pm and help us kick off our year of celebration for the museum's 100th birthday!
New Years Eve Ballroom Bash: Hyatt Regency Indianapolis

8 p.m. Join us for an unforgettable night of celebration at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis! Get ready to dance the night away at the most happening event in town. Featuring live music from Dave and Rae and The Flying Toasters. Cash Bar, party favors, a champagne toast at midnight, and a countdown to Midnight included. Dressy Casual attire. 21+
New Year’s Eve at Hotel Indy
7 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. Celebrate the New Year with a progressive dinner.Start the evening in The Paddock with a cozy cocktail hour and appetizers. Then, move into The Hulman for multi-course dining experience. The night wraps up in the Cannon Ball Lounge with a decadent dessert bar, live music, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.

First Day 5k: Indianapolis Cultural Trail

12 p.m. Join a free, all-ages, low-pressure run or walk along the scenic Downtown Canal and Cultural Trail to celebrate a healthy start to 2025. Choose your own pace and distance including options like 5k, 2 mile, 1.5 and 1 mile. Visit website for agenda (ex. 11:45 a.m. is Welcome and group photo)

WinterFaire: Indianapolis Children’s Museum 3000 North Meridian Street
10 a.m. - 5 p.m. WinterFaire is a magical indoor world featuring a festive, carnival-like atmosphere, fun-filled games, loveable critters, and hands-on activities. Play, laugh, and make lifelong memories together in this one-of-a-kind indoor winter experience. Visit the website to see daily activities included with your tickets happening at WinterFaire. Free parking is available.
Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure: Eiteljorg Museum 500 West Washington Street
10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Partake in the wonderful holiday tradition of Jingle rails and its breathtaking model train display featuring nine G-scale trains traveling through spectacular landscapes and past famous landmarks of Indianapolis and the American West. Take the whole family as tickets allow you to visit the whole museum and kids can learn, play, and explore in Nina Mason Pulliam Education Center.

Free First Thursday at Newfields: Newfields 4000 Michigan Road
11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Experience all that Newfields has to offer on the first Thursday of every month. Members and public get free General Admission to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and The Garden, live musical performances, and art-making activities.
First Thursday Children’s Museum
4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Enjoy $6 admission per person on the first Thursday of the month. Parking is free and the food court will be open for purchase of food and drinks.
Festival of Trees: Indiana Historical Society 450 West Ohio Street
The 2024 Festival of Trees will feature a winter wonderland of 85 trees representing individuals, families and companies from around Indiana.
