Indianapolis Public Library Events

  • Paws and Breathe: Glendale Branch | 5 pm - 7 pm Come relax with our dog friends from Paws and Think during our special teen study break. No registration required. Drop in at any time during the scheduled time.

  • Minecraft Club: Central Library | 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Kids ages 7 and up are invited to join us on the 3rd floor for Minecraft Club! Stop by to mine, build, and interact with fellow Minecrafters using the library’s laptops or iPads. Jump into our premade world or create one entirely of your own!

Indianapolis Public Library Events

  • Storytime: Michigan Road Branch | 10:30 am - 11:15 am Preschoolers, toddlers, and their caregivers are invited for stories, fingerplays, crafts and activities.

  • Family Game Night: Central Library | 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Kids, teens, and families are invited to stop by the Atrium on the 2nd floor for Family Game Night! We have lots of board, card, and dice games to explore along with giant-sized chess, checkers, Jenga, and Connect 4.

  • Teen Dungeons and Dragons: Glendale Branch | 6 pm - 8 pm Calling all ADVENTURERS! Teens who play Dungeons and Dragons or want to learn to play are invited for a short adventure! Dungeon Masters and pre-generated characters will be available.

  • Floss 'n' Goss Fiber Arts Club: Central Library | 6 pm - 8 pm Floss 'n' Goss is a monthly fiber arts club where people of all ages and skill levels are welcome to work on their current thready projects in a collaborative and supportive setting! You bring your crafts, we bring the vibes! Register Here

  • Paws to Read: Irvington Branch | 6 pm - 7 pm Beginning or reluctant readers ages 6 - 11 are invited to read to a registered therapy dog who loves to listen to stories. It's a great way to improve a child's reading skills and self-confidence. Register Here.


Game Night Social: The Garage Food Hall

6 pm - 9 pm Laugh with old friends or meet new ones while enjoying tabletop games. Feel free to bring your favorite game from home. Food from the various vendors will be open for purchase. All ages welcome. Free.

  • Family Storytime: Nora Branch | 10:30 am - 11:30 am Families with children ages 0-6 are invited to join us for stories, songs, and so much more fun every Wednesday morning.

  • Seed Library Support Pack Seeds For Our 2026 Seed Library: Michigan Road Branch | 1 pm - 3:30 pm Work with fellow volunteers to pack seeds for our 2026 Seed Library! Measure out bulk seeds into envelopes that community members can take home and grow. Register Here.

  • Explore STEM + More: Central Library | 3 pm - 5 pm Kids and families, stop by the 3rd floor to immerse yourself in the world of science and tech exploration. Discover something new by exploring robots, LEGOs, STEM apps, crafts, games, and more at your own pace.

  • Lego Club:  Glendale Branch | 4 pm - 5:30 pm School-age children are invited to build with Legos, try challenges, and do STEM projects.
