Indianapolis Public Library Events

  • Introduction to Debate - A Six-Week Program for Middle School Students: College Ave Branch | 5:00pm - 6:30pm Middle school students are invited to a free program series to discover skills and gain confidence through learning about debate! This series will be led by Park Tudor junior and debate champion, Penelope Guevara! Registration Required

  • Minecraft Club: Central Library | 5:30pm - 7:30pm Kids ages 7 and up are invited to join us on the 3rd floor for Minecraft Club! Stop by to mine, build, and interact with fellow Minecrafters using the library’s laptops or iPads. Jump into our premade world or create one entirely of your own!

  • Lego Block Party: Nora Branch |  6:00pm - 7:00pm Kids are invited to flex their creative muscles and building skills at our Block Party! Stop by the Nora branch to create with LEGOs, blocks, and other kid-friendly building materials.

Indianapolis Public Library Events

  • Storytime: Glendale Branch | 10:30 am - 11:30 am Babies up to 24 months and an adult are invited for stories, songs, fingerplays, and fun! Each session is followed by playtime with special toys designed just for babies.

  • Storytime: Michigan Road | 10:30am - 11:15am Preschoolers, toddlers, and their caregivers are invited for stories, fingerplays, crafts and activities. No registration is required.

  • Teen Zone: Central Library | 5:00pm - 7:00pm Teens ages 12-18 are invited to explore art, technology, games, science, and more with Teen Central! Engage with free materials and learn new skills at your own pace in our new Teen Space on the 2nd floor!

  • Family Game Night: Central Library | 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm A fun night of board games at the Nora Library. Patrons of all ages are invited to drop in any time for a fun night playing board games. Games will be provided

  • Teen Dungeons & Dragons: College Ave Branch | 4:30 pm - 6 pm Calling all ADVENTURERS! Teens who play Dungeons and Dragons or want to learn are invited to join us on our TTRPG (Table-Top Role-Play Game) adventure every THIRD TUESDAY of the month at 4:30 p.m. Registration. 


Game Night Social: The Garage Food Hall

  • Orchestra Storytime - With Eastwood Middle School Orchestra students: Glendale Branch | 10:30am - 11:30am The students of Eastwood Middle School orchestra will present stories and songs for children of all ages. Children will have the opportunity to interact with the students and their instruments after the performance.

  • Storytime: Pike Branch | 10:30 am - 11 am  Babies, toddlers, preschoolers and an adult are invited for stories, songs, fingerplays and play time

  • Storytime at College Avenue - Toddler & Preschool: College Ave Branch | 10:30am - 11:30am Children aged 3-5, and their families, are invited to a half-hour of stories, songs, and rhymes, followed by playtime, art, and social time with other families!

  • Storytime at Glendale - Toddlers and Preschool: Glendale Branch |  10:30am - 11:30am Children ages 2-4 and their caregivers are invited for stories, fingerplays, crafts, and activities.

  • Family Storytime: Nora Branch | 10:30 am - 11:30 am  Families with children of all ages are invited to listen to stories, sing songs and participate in movement activities

  • Explore STEM + More:  Central Library | 3 pm - 5 pm Kids and families, stop by the 3rd floor to immerse yourself in the world of science and tech exploration. Discover something new by exploring robots, LEGOs, STEM apps, crafts, games, and more at your own pace.

  • Lego Club: Glendale|  4:00pm - 5:30pm School-age children are invited to build with Legos, try challenges, and do STEM projects.

  • Wednesday Whimsies: Art for All! - at College Avenue | 4:30pm - 5:30pm Do you like to draw or paint? Maybe tessellations and design are more your speed? We’ll explore it all with Wednesday Whimsies: Art for All - a program dedicated to all the wild and varied modes of art. Come and learn, explore, and create!
