  • Adobe Photoshop Basics Level 1 - Get Creative: Central Library | 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Discover how to transform images to match your artistic vision. Learn the essentials of Adobe Photoshop, including the interface, core tools, layers, and basic editing techniques. Register Here.

  • Minecraft Club: Central Library | 5:30 pm 7:30 pm Kids ages 7 and up are invited to join us on the 3rd floor for Minecraft Club! Stop by to mine, build, and interact with fellow Minecrafters using the library’s laptops or iPads. Jump into our premade world or create one entirely of your own!

  • Family Fun Night: Glendale Branch | 6 pm - 7:30 pm Come to the Glendale Branch for activities for the whole family. This is a monthly program with different activities each month. Some possible themes are games night, STEM activities, role playing and other fun activities. All ages are welcome!

Indianapolis Public Library Events

  • Storytime: Glendale Branch | 10:30 am - 11:30 am Babies up to 24 months and an adult are invited for stories, songs, fingerplays, and fun! Each session is followed by playtime with special toys designed just for babies.

  • Storytime: Michigan Road Branch | 10:30 am - 11:15 am Preschoolers, toddlers, and their caregivers are invited for stories, fingerplays, crafts and activities.

  • Caregiver & Child Yoga: Irvington Branch | 1 pm - 1:30 pm Stretch and move alongside your child! Strengthen your connection with yourself and your child through easy yoga poses led by Silly Hearts Yoga. Dress to move! Open to all skill levels. Perfect for children ages 2 to 5 and their adult.   • Teen Dungeons and Dragons: Glendale Branch | 6 pm - 8 pm Calling all ADVENTURERS! Teens who play Dungeons and Dragons or want to learn to play are invited for a short adventure! Dungeon Masters and pre-generated characters will be available.

  • Adobe Photoshop Basics Level 2 - Get Creative: Central Library | 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Build on your Photoshop – Level 1 skills with advanced techniques. Enhance your photo editing skills with retouching, creative color manipulation, and correcting common issues like exposure problems and red eye. Register Here.

  • Family Game Night: Central Library | 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Kids, teens, and families are invited to stop by the Atrium on the 2nd floor for Family Game Night! We have lots of board, card, and dice games to explore along with giant-sized chess, checkers, Jenga, and Connect 4.

  • Paws to Read: Irvington Branch | 6 pm - 7 pm Beginning or reluctant readers ages 6 - 11 are invited to take a turn reading to a registered therapy dog who loves to listen to stories. Story Time: Goodies and Giggles

11 am Join us for story time every Tuesday at 11am. We will read a few books, have our play tables open, and enjoy time together. No registration required. Recommended for ages 5 and under.


Game Night Social: The Garage Food Hall

Twilight Tales: Strange Encounters: Indiana State Museum

7 pm - 8:30 pm Join us, in the not-so-dark, for a night of family-friendly mystery and spooky intrigue! Decorate your own candy bag, help solve a mystery as we decode puzzles and find hidden clues throughout the galleries as we explore the museum by flashlight. Costumes are encouraged! Art or Treat: Newfields 

Oct 24th & 25th 6:30 pm  Ghosts, goblins, and grown-ups alike can trick-or-treat under the glow of The Garden lights. Before you hit The Beer Garden, stop by our treat trail, included with your ticket.  Each guest will receive a special Art or Treat bag to fill with sweets and spooky surprises. We've brewed up treats for everyone—including non-food goodies for those with allergies. Just look for tents marked with a Teal Pumpkin, part of the Teal Pumpkin Project, to find allergen-friendly options. Tickets Required
