  • Minecraft Club: Central Library | 5:30 pm 7:30 pm Kids ages 7 and up are invited to join us on the 3rd floor for Minecraft Club! Stop by to mine, build, and interact with fellow Minecrafters using the library’s laptops or iPads. Jump into our premade world or create one entirely of your own!

  • Teen Fic Club: Make it "Write"! - Monthly Writing Club: College Ave Branch | 4:30 pm - 6 pm Love a story but it didn’t end “right”? Missing some of your favorite characters? Maybe you could write it yourself! The Teen Fic Writing Club is an opportunity for you to hone your craft as a writer, through fanfic writing or creating your own original works! Register Here.

  • Pokemon Card Trading: Glendale Branch | 6 pm - 7:30 pm Bring your cards and get ready to trade! For children 11 and under only.

  • Family Game Night: Central Library | 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Kids, teens, and families are invited to stop by the Atrium on the 2nd floor for Family Game Night! We have lots of board, card, and dice games to explore along with giant-sized chess, checkers, Jenga, and Connect 4.

  • Paws to Read: Glendale Branch | 6 pm - 7 pm Beginning or reluctant readers ages 6 - 11 are invited to take a turn reading to a registered therapy dog who loves to listen to stories. It's a great way to improve a child's reading skills and self-confidence. Children may read from any book they choose. Register Here.

  • Spooky Board Game Night: Irvington Branch | 6 pm - 7:45 pm Join us if you dare for an evening of spooky table top gaming. At this gaming session we will play Horrified, Cthulhu Fluxx, Munckin Zombies, Zombie Dice, and more. No experience necessary to play. The rules will be taught. Register Here.


Story Time: Goodies and Giggles

11 am Join us for story time every Tuesday at 11am. We will read a few books, have our play tables open, and enjoy time together. No registration required. Recommended for ages 5 and under.


Game Night Social: The Garage Food Hall

We Walk Indy Spooky Stroll: Downtown Canal

6 pm - 8:30 pm Are you new to the Indy area or looking to make new friends? Join us for a casual walk where all are welcome! Come alone or bring a friend! From April through October, we are excited to be partnering with We Walk Indy once a month for FREE social walks along the Downtown Canal and Indianapolis Cultural Trail.Grab a costume and meet us on the canal for a Spooky Stroll, then end at Turner’s Bar and Julieta Tacos at The Stutz for a Spooky Social!

Scare on the Square: Fountain Square Plaza

4:30 pm We’re happy to announce this year’s Scare in the Square on October 31st from 4:30p – 7p in Fountain Square and Fletcher Place! This event provides a safe place for families to trick or treat and engage with our merchants and partners throughout the Virginia Avenue corridor. Start at any business but grab maps and activity books at the Fountain Square Plaza or The Recess (638 Virginia Ave). Look for bright orange signs in participating merchant windows.
